It seems that Tugalo, Martha, Mary C, Roxie and Lettie aren't the children of William H. O'Bryant and Susan M. Marrett, but are the children of William H. O'Bryant and Martha J. Brown. After looking at the year that William and Susan got married [1885] that would make William A [18], Martha [7], Roxie [1], Lettie [10], Tugalo Knox [11] and Mary C. [17] at the time that William and Susan got married and I don't honestly think that William and Susan would have these children out of wedlock? I do know that Martha J. Brown's second husband Middleton A. Marrett [1825-1864], they got married in 1859 and Martha and Middleton had two children and they were:
1. Benjamin Jefferson Marrett [1860-1930]
2. Effie Caroline Marrett [1862-?]
So this would mean that Martha and Middleton got a divorce before 1867 and William and Martha got a divorce before 1885. So, William and Martha were married 18 years before Martha died in 1876. Also that means that Lettie was only about a 1 year old when he mother died?
One more thing, Martha's first husband, Middleton was William's second wife, Susan's uncle. I hope that this doesn't throw anyone into a frenzy trying to figure this all out?
